I have even more pics I still need to upload to my computer, of my herb garden and the sunflower sprouts, and of the vegetable garden space I just marked off for the "Call Before You Dig" people.
Side note: On the phone, this woman kept asking me questions about our property in terms of direction. Time after time, I let myself feel like the biggest idiot ever for not knowing directions, for not being sure whether my house is on the west or east side of this certain intersection. I'm not the only one, right? I know my mom has a hard time now that she's away from the mountains in Colorado --- those always helped her know where each direction was.
Anyway. The top picture is of Coleus, although it's not doing so well in my garden because it's supposed to be in the shade and it's getting quite a bit of sun. The second picture is the Alyssum, which is doing pretty well. I love how delicate it is!
I just made a bunch of phone calls I'd been putting off; that always feels good. Adam and I are going to get an estimate on how much it will be to fix up the upstairs room (including a vent so it's not FREEZING or Really Hot), and I am scheduling an appt. to be certain of what I still need to do to graduate, and exactly how much time I have.
Is it rainy where you are? It's Day #2 here, and I'm getting a little restless. But it's not actually raining right now, so I've taken a walk and I plan to take another. We sure do need the rain -- .
I hope you all have a beautiful day!

rainy on the east coast. not too unusual...
keep the pictures coming!
I'm so jealous of your gardens.
It hasn't rained here yet today, though it's supposed to start tonight. We're hoping to get some pork loin grilled (on the camp grill, in the front yard) before that happens.
Nope, you are not the only one who gets messed up on directions!
Jeff's hopeless ;)
Loving the joy and rejuvenation of your plantings, pictures and posts!
And, it's raining here too...like ALL week and through next weekend. BOOOO!
So lovely Laura! Your garden is looking wonderful. I'm planting my tomatoes today, woot! And my raspberries. Can't wait.
I always say east instead of west and vice versa. A weird kind of dyslexia I'm afraid. So you're not alone!
Laura, I am loving your garden and your passion for it!
Um, do I even need to answer the "east or west?" question??? "Never Eat Shredded Wheat" doesn't help if you don't even know where the "Never" is.
oh we let our alyssum self seed last year and they are now coming up everywhere! one plant survived right through winter!
