Gardens

Last week I planted this corner flower garden (my first flower garden!), and I am trying some sunflower seeds next to it. Monty keeps trying to dig them up, though, despite the rocks, so....We'll see.
Tomorrow Adam and I are going to haul some more soil over (we split half manure/half black dirt with our neighbors) and work on one of our vegetable gardens. We want to have two. One is ready - plotted, anyway - but we still need to dig up weeds and get it ready. The other is going to come from scratch. A bunch of sand, actually, so.....We'll see :)

Yay Laura! Oh look at how happy that garden is looking already. Way to go! I bought my tomato plants the other day but it's still too cool to plant anything. One more week and I'll get them in.

Yea!!!! How fun! We have so enjoyed all of our time outside this year. After the long, hard winter we had, being outside, planting, mowing, planning for more gardens is so hopeful and refreshing!

Love ya!

The yellow flowers are Violas --- I have them in a hanging basket, too, and they're doing really well as long as I keep pinching off old flowers.
The others are (from the back) Coleus, Salvia, Begonias, Impatiens, and Alyssum. They're all doing well so far.
