Adam's best friend, David, came to visit this weekend with his girlfriend Rachel and their little daughter, Allison. We all had such a nice visit! It had been so long since I'd been around a baby for any sustained amount of time, and Adam---I don't know when he's spent time around a baby. He's good at it, though :)

It was also fun for me to get to know Rachel better- I'd only met her once before. We took a walk to get a movie and some food, and that gave the boys some time to just be boys---! I love watching David and Adam laugh together----they've got that kind of friendship not everyone is lucky enough to have. They can go a long time without talking, or seeing each other, but when they get together it's the same as it ever was. They are there for each other when it counts. They've known each other for so long - the good and the bad - that nothing will change that. Adam was so looking forward to this time with his friend, and I'm very glad it worked out.
By the way, our phone is all messed up. If you really need to get hold of us, try our trac phone. I'm working on getting it topped off---. I hate this, but I'm afraid we might have to get cell phones. I've been resisting the trend for years, but now it's more of a hassle and an expense to NOT have a cell phone, I swear.
Anyway. Happy Saturday night!

So, did you get your plumbing ordeal all taken care of? Josh has been curious about it since you posted. It's good to get together with friends, isn't it? It looks like you guys had a nice time--what a cute baby!
Speaking of babies, my cutie is being very stubborn tonight. He refuses to go to sleep. Josh and his brother are down at the beer garden set up for our local summer festival, so Evan and I are working it out on our own.
Enjoy your weekend!
Melissa
The plumbing deal was taken care of before 8:00 Friday---I was so impressed with the guy! Yeah----I probably sounded dramatic in my post, but it was just a clogged kitchen sink. The water would not drain, though----For awhile it was just slow, but then all of a sudden it stopped.
Thanks for asking :)
I hope Evan finally fell asleep, Melissa!
