Art Nights

Adam and I have painted two weekends in a row. As you can see, we are amateurs :), but the sense of peace we both felt while immersed in creating was invaluable. It makes me happy just to look at these pictures now.

*(The water/sky scenes are Adam's, and the other two are mine.)

Three more days of school with the kids. Aaaahh. I will miss them - I really will - but it's getting tough. They were pretty much done after the MCA tests in April, so you can imagine how they are now. So Friday is the last day of school, then Monday and Tuesday are staff days (during which I have to pack up everything and move out of my room...), and then the language arts curriculum planning committee I'm on begins to meet Wednesday. That will be easier, though, because it meets in Bemidji (no driving), plus we don't start until 8:30. No more five a.m.s, unless I am motivated enough to get up for yoga. It's a goal...!

I would LOVE to have time to do something creative. I've been wanting to knit or do some other sewing/needlework, but it's been hard to squeeze it in with Evan--he's pretty high maintenance. I wonder which one of us he gets that from!

I have to go back for workshop days and curriculum writing next week as well. Josh is completely done after tomorrow... as Napoleon Dynamite would say, "Lucky!"

Enjoy your last few days, and let me know how the yoga goal goes. I need to get back into some form of exercise, but I'm still a little aprehensive after the c-section...

Take care,
Melissa
