Today was one of those days that felt really long and tough for no good reason. Lew was cranky because he had shots today at his 4-month appointment, so that didn't help, plus it was so hot. I hate hot and humid summer days.....much more a spring and fall person.

Last night Adam and I, for our date, saw Inception. A cool movie but I'm glad I didn't let my mind wander (as can happen!) because it's quite complex. I'm surprised I liked it because it's not my kind of movie, necessarily. It's an interesting concept, playing with dreams and planting ideas, creating whole worlds. Reminds me, in a way, of Waking Life. I haven't seen that in so long but remember being simultaneously awed and freaked out by it.

Lew's awake. Need to start teaching him to fall asleep on his own but haven't been up to that yet... . Certainly tonight's not the night.

I'll end with a joke that a co-worker told me at school when I was having a very bad day:

What did the cannibal get when he was late for dinner?

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

The cold shoulder.

Good Joke. Happy baby's mom. We're having Bible School at St. Mary's this year. It is going well. We have four adults helping about 15 kids in each group with the art department. How do teachers do it alone????
