Kicking off the summer ---------

Adam's sister and mom visited last weekend. Jessica lives in Virginia now and we don't get to see her often, so the time was extra special. We played a great movie trivia game, had a barbecue, went bowling, went for some walks, and laughed a lot. We always have fun when we get together.

Jessica and Adam got our corner garden planted, which kind of jump-started us (well, mostly Adam) to get the rest done. Pictures of those to come later - .

Saturday Adam and I brought Lewis up to the cabin for the day, his first time there! My uncles and their kids were there, and my dad and Matt, and my grandpa. The weather was beautiful, Dad barbecued a bunch of food, the guys put in our dock, the little boys were catching perch and crayfish, Adam was taking pictures of the creatures ("Are you a scientist?", little Drake asked Adam :). It was a fantastic day. It was so good, in fact, that I'll probably someday forget that Lewis cried pretty much the whole way home. (2 1/2 + hours...).

Four generations: Charles the II, Charles the III, me and Lewis Charles!

The whole crew! Much-loved relatives are missing, but it's more people than we've had up at the cabin in years. So much fun.
