A quick post just to get back into the habit --- ! I make a big deal about "coming back to my blog", and then I never write!

Adam and I just returned from a delightful picnic. I would love to post some pictures, but the batteries failed as soon as we got to the park - . The camera's still having issues, so I am not even able to take a picture of myself making a funny face or something equally fascinating. Don't worry, though - I'll figure it out.

So, the picnic was wonderful. A couple of weeks ago, on Sunday Morning, I watched a feature about the joys of pic-nic-ing (?), so I've been talking about it ever since. Finally it happened. Sunday Morning, by the way, is becoming a ritual for me. My grandma loves it and watches every week, and I saw some of it with her over the summer when I was visiting. It really is kind of a neat show, plus I love knowing that we're doing the "very same thing at the very same moment." (What is that from? - a movie or book, but I can't think.)

Lots going on here. The first day of school is Wednesday, Open House for parents Tuesday, and so much still for me to prepare. Adam's not going back to Red Lake this year, for those of you who don't know - . He will still sub a few times a month, and he hopes to do that in the Red Lake High School, but otherwise he'll be writing. Watch for his articles at the left sidebar!

The sun is shining and I am full from my picnic, so I'm going to lay - lie? - outside for awhile and enjoy this while I can.
(Lie. Lay requries an object, I just learned for the hundreth time. One of those things my brain refuses to retain...)
