Waiting

I transplanted my "Mammoth" sunflowers because I didn't think they were growing as they should, probably because they weren't getting enough light in their spot underneath a tree... As you can see, I maybe should have let them be. I am saying benedictions over them every couple of hours, trying to urge them to hang in there and become the beautiful big flowers they are destined to become, but....I'm waiting. Hoping.
The third picture is one of a pot of smaller sunflowers. They seem strong and healthy, but they've looked exactly like this for a few weeks. The center appears to be ready, any minute now, to burst into amazing yellow/orange-ness, but again....I'm waiting to see. No matter what, though, I'm having a lot of fun with my experiments. I literally wake up in the morning and want to go check out my plants, sometimes even before I pee. That's cool. :) I had been needing a new hobby.

"I literally wake up in the morning and want to go check out my plants"...I think that's what's missing in my life at the moment. The last couple of days I've been thinking "why don't I jump out of bed with enthusiasm anymore'". We sold up a while ago.I don't have a garden like I used to,with its 3 red hens and cat, and this rented accommodation is not really "home".Maybe I'll feel better when it's not Winter here Down Under. One of life's lovely things is to check on the progress of your plants, with a cat twining around your legs.Your photos were fun.
