"We're Too Cool For School"

This is what my assistant principal said as soon as I answered the phone this morning, and it made me smile for several reasons :)

Here are a couple of pictures of the curtains Adam and put up on Monday. For months we'd had nothing on this big window into our living room, and I think after awhile we just got used to it. Finally I couldn't stand the lack of privacy anymore, so I bought blinds but they didn't fit at all. It's not the kind of window for blinds -- not a deep enough frame. But I think these curtains are beautiful, and it really makes me excited to finish the trim on the other windows and get coverings (not aprons and blankets) up on those, too.

These are some pictures of Lucy the Cat that my brother took last weekend. Mom has been telling me that Lucy loves to watch the bird feeder, but that it's so funny how she rests her arms up on the top of this backward-facing stool. Just relaxing. What a cutie!

I hope all of you enjoy your day, whatever you have going on.

What a cute kitty! Jezebel was spayed on Monday, and I got to pick her up yesterday. When Matt and I brought her in to the vet, I thought not having her around for one day wouldn't be so traumatic, but I was wrong! My apartment felt so empty without her, I'm very happy to have her back now!

Oh the joys of moving! We have so many curtains to buy and no way of going out there to buy them. I love yours and good for you for reclaiming your privacy. Couldn't that kitty be cuter?!
