Adam and I are headed to Portland, ND tomorrow -- his grandma died unexpectedly over the weekend and the wake/funeral are in the next couple of days. It will be a good time to be with his family, but I'm just so sad for his grandpa. After being with someone for so long, and then taking care of them - as he had with her, such good care - I just can't imagine how he must feel.
Yesterday, after we were sent home early, Adam and I decorated our first real Christmas tree. I don't have a picture of the finished product, but here's one from Friday night, after we'd gotten it and Adam secured it in the stand. My favorite quote [of Adam's] from that night? "No wonder our dads swore when they were doing this!"

So sorry to hear about his grandma's death. Sounds like she was sick for awhile. I'll pray for good roads for you.
