More Color

When my co-worker and his wife came over a few weekends ago, they commented on how we really must love color. :) I don't think it's obnoxious, but indeed it's obvious when you step into our house. Yes. We (especially I, and Adam is supportive!) love color. This red shelf is the newest addition to our home, as well as the cup shelf above it - both from a really great antique shop here in town. I love decorating with items I will USE, too - dual purpose. I really will use both of these shelves because our kitchen is pretty small.

I bought Monty a new toy today because last week he destroyed two of his favorites - first a ball and then a lavender monkey thing Mom had gotten him for his birthday. The most recent (pictured below...) looked sturdy enough, but -- alas. Not a match for Montgomery. He had fun with it, though.

He even brought the remains under Adam's desk. He never goes under there, but---- That's where he is as I write this. Adam put a fluffy purple blanket down to encourage Monty to visit again, and it worked. The poor dog... I think he gets lonely out in the living room when we spend so much time in our office. In our old house, EVERYTHING was in the living room, so Monty was always within about three feet of either of us at any given moment. He's not used to the space! Anyway, he's a sweetie.

Faith always goes under our desk too. We call it "her cave!"

Oh poor Monty! I'm glad he has found a home in your office so he isn't alone.

I think it's great you love colour and turn your home into something that is uniquely yours!

I hope you're feeling better Laura, sorry to hear you've been so sick.

hee hee ... people always say that to us too because though our entry is a soft green, our living room is a bright yellow with red curtains and bright objects everywhere and our kitchen is an even brighter lemon zesty yellow with red and blue accents everywhere :) i adore colour in my life!!

hope you are feeling better, xox
