For some reason, this part of Dr. Seuss's "Oh, The Places You'll Go" just came to mind, and I want to share it because it's one of my favorite rhymes. The sounds are so beautiful to me --- dark but really nice to hear.

...The Waiting Place......for people just waiting. Waiting for a train to go or a bus to come, or a plane to go or the mail to come, or the rain to go or the phone to ring, or the snow to snow or waiting around for a Yes or a No or waiting for their hair to grow. Everyone is just waiting.

It's in the movie Fracture, too, at a pretty integral part of the action. Ryan Gosling reads it and I like his voice, so maybe that's why it sticks in my mind --- which reminds me of the movie Half Nelson, which I just may rent tonight since we have a field trip tomorrow. No planning!
