My time with Mom was so nice. We went to lunch at Embers/Bridgeman's (food + ice cream: perfect combo) and had a wonderful visit. I can't wait to go home so I can see my dad, too, and hopefully Matt when he's up there hunting.

And--- I cannot resist one more picture of fall colors. This tree is a block away from our house. Adam and I found it on a walk the other night, and we must have taken twenty pictures between the two of us. The best part about this one? It's low enough to the ground so that you can get right IN the red, close enough to get dew on your face.

I love this time of year.
