Our New Home

It took a daring trip to Walmart (ugh) and an unnecessary purchase (because I bet that in ten minutes I'll just happen to find the USB cord), but I can finally upload my pictures. I was going through withdrawal :)

Monty has been absolutely loving his new yard and the chance to play all sorts of games like Tennis Ball and Frisbee. As it turns out, Monty is much better at Frisbee than I am.

This is our bedroom a couple of weeks before we moved in. The guy in the picture is Devin. Devin has been right along with us (well, leading the way, to be sure) for all of our projects - and ideas - and it's been great. He's student teaching at Red Lake, and the three of us have formed a carpool. Devin wins the Best Carpool Friend and Overall Good Person award.

We tore the carpet up in the bedroom so we could have bamboo floors....

And (after an incredible amount of very hard work from Adam and Devin), here they are. Here it is. I love it.
We still aren't in this incredible room, though, because we don't yet have our bed--- Thursday is the day. In the meantime, I'm trying to move the largest, most disgusting pile of dirty/clean clothes from the living room (I'll have to get a picture of that, by the way) to the closet. Somehow I haven't mustered the strength, even though this was supposed to be the main project of the day. BUT, Pan's Labyrinth is calling, and it is such an incredible movie that Adam and I are watching it over again. It's this dark, beautiful sort of fairy tale and I don't even know how else to describe it---You just have to see it.
Happy Saturday night to all. -

I love that movie, I love your new house, and I can't wait to see you guys in it. :)

P.S. Tell Devin we had a grand old time romping through his house today, grilling with his roomie and wrapping his kitten in plastic bags (she actually played/snuggled with me that way). Also, he needs to clean up, landscape, and plant a garden in that backyard. And I want to help.

Have a good weekend, all of you. We're sending our love . . . :)

Hey, nice to see your house and Keep In Touch, so to speak.

Ditto the Ugh on Walmart. We're really locked into that place these days, I think. I hold my nose, but I go there now and then too.

GORGEOUS! Your room looks beautiful!Isn't is such a wonderful feeling to strip away the old, and add your own stamp on a home. I just love the color you chose! I can't wait to see your house "for real."

Also, email me your new address!

Hugs!

Looks like a nice place, Laura. I'm glad you found it. You seem tired but happy. Tired but happy is good.

Okay, so that last comment was actually me. I even predicted this would happen when Eric opened his gmail on my "half" of the computer. Sigh.

What a cute place! It reminds me of our first house in New Ulm. Enjoy! :)

What a great home you both have! You are obviously so happy to be there. I know it was a lot of work but look at the payoff, plus Monty looks very happy too. Yay!
