I just got the new Time magazine, and here's a fact included in a short blurb about compact fluorescent lightbulbs: if every U.S. home had even ONE of these bulbs, the effect on greenhouse gases would be equivalent to taking 2 million cars off the road.
If only our government would make more decisions that would help our people, and our planet. They have so much control, they could certainly prohibit the sale of old lightbulbs, or mandate that no more new "old" bulbs be manufactured. Maybe Hillary or Barack could make that happen!

Thanks for sharing this information. We have two of these bulbs but I guess now I will go out and get more of them - just have to find places to put them :)
