I used this image to get my kids to write. We're working on a narrative paragraph, which has been a little rough. But I was happy, because this picture got us all laughing together, and it inspired [some of] them to find an equally funny situation in their own lives to write about.
I told myself I wouldn't write about my job on this blog, that it was strictly for my creative development. But these kids are helping form the person I am becoming, and I love so many of them, so I just can't leave them out. I'll try instead to focus on the positive aspects of what I am doing every day. So yes. My students wrote a little this week. I am happy.

Your blog is sweet..I like it. It's got a good mix of short and longer ones, and pictures which is a nice touch. Oh, I downloaded that song from Donny Darko too--I think i've heard it before, I like it though. What's that movie about anyway?
