Shred It.

People say the worst thing you can do when your muscles are burning is stop exercising. Here's my problem: If I even THINK about these certain squats I had to do in The Random Demonic Workout Video I did on Saturday, while holding weights, my upper thighs start throbbing in pain.

I can't walk right. I basically had to scoot down my stairs last night like a toddler, my knees keep locking, and I have to lower myself to the toliet seat now. I'm pretty sure I'm even getting dizzy. And one of my students today asked me why I was walking "all like a turtle."

But hey. If you're looking for a good workout in as little time as possible (20 minutes), then give it a try. Jillian Michaels, 30-Day Shred. It's mad crazy, radtastic wicked. (this sounds like something Jess would say, my wonderful sister-in-law. the one who introduced me to this world of torture that is "the shred".)

I just don't work out. I wasn't ready.

I over did "jogging" the first and only time I did it and I haven't done it since. Life is too short.

I feel this way everytime I do my Fit-to-Strip workout, but usually it takes a day before the pain really kicks in. The Shred must be intense! Maybe you should start by doing fewer reps than they suggest, or do it without the weights for a while, because you can always add more down the line.

You must always ease your way into squats. Ugh. Don't be discouraged. I like to wear funny outfits when I work out at home-that can help make it less Necessary.
