Two Random Things

1) The power went out here on Tuesday, and Adam and I had to get ready for work in darkness. Except for the light from candles (thank God I love candles!), it was the deepest dark I'd seen in a long time. It was beautiful. Sometimes I really wish life could be simpler again like it used to be.

2) Adam and I have been listening to MPR for the last two or so weeks on our way to work and back. It's become a comforting thing to me, to hear the voices of the commentators and to learn about what's happening in the world. And when I heard how Hillary Clinton addressed her critics last night, I was happy:
"They're not attacking me because I'm a woman. They're attacking me because I'm ahead."
Kick ass! I know this woman isn't perfect, and I still need to fully research all of the candidates, but I'm rooting for her. The obvious reason? Because I'm a woman and because it's time. Truly. Also, because I have a little hope that maybe she's just playing the game because she has to, and when she gets in she's gonna change the world. Just maybe.
I'm sick of being pessimistic. I have to place some hope in something.
Anyway, yeah. MPR/NPR rocks.
