A new couch! It is not easy to describe how happy I am with this change in my living room, although I think I would've come close yesterday afternoon when I was just sitting, looking around and smiling. I've always been like this, craving a change in my surroundings and being so uplifted when I make one--- Something as simple as a new plant can do this for me. When I was younger, I'd rearrange my bedroom every three or four months, which made me happy but annoyed my dad----every time, he'd have to move the hanging lamp (screwed into the ceiling) to be above whatever new spot my bed was in. But he always did it for me :)
We kept our old couch and just shoved it to the wall, removed a chair that had chipped away a bunch of paint on the wall and so bought a huge poster of Albert Einstein to cover up the scrape marks. I love it. The house couldn't possibly be more cluttered, and that's starting to get to me, but at least there's space to spread out and relax now! Monty is even obeying (gasp) and keeping off the new couch. It's nice to know we can train him to stay away from something. He's super-sad if we're both on the new couch, though, and he has to be WAY OVER on the other one.
Ok. Enough about the couch.
Adam and I went to breakfast this morning and then for a "Sunday drive", something we each used to do with our own families. We looked at houses for sale and dreamed a little, and we even have a few we're going to try to look at this week. It's exciting to think of making this city our home---We really do love the area. We'll have to see what happens, I guess.
I hope you all have a good week!
