Books

I've been reading more lately, which is a good thing for me. I think about all of the things I'd call my "hobbies" and how few of them I actually do anymore (like dancing, singing, writing, photography......... .) Reading is something I love; it's good for my soul, especially if it's the right book. I finished Hector and the Search for Happiness and enjoyed it. I read David Sedaris's Squirrel Seeks Chipmunk in a day (I'm not amazing; it's a quick read and very funny. With illustrations.), and am now on Prodigal Summer by Barbara Kingsolver. I immediately loved this book and am very glad that it's long. I love this author's stuff and had somehow missed this one (maybe because it's so long), but.....it's the perfect time for it.

I'm heading to Colorado on Friday! I can hardly believe it's already here and that it will be such a quick trip - I am back late Sunday night. I will get to see aunts and uncles and cousins, my grandma, and my brother for my cousin Kelly's wedding. It will a good time, I am sure.

Time for Lew's dinner. Happy middle-of-the-week.

You and I should have a chat about the book you are reading, I have not read anything by her, but I've heard good things. I am reading a Jodi Picqoult book (which I am addicted to anything she writes) and the Erdrich book you borrowed me about motherhood.. Good timing for me! Hope your trip was fantastic...and the weather is warmer than in MN!
