I got some wild roses today from someone I'd never met, a lady around the block, who'd just weeded her garden and ripped out some extra stuff. I planted them along our fence. I got some thorns stuck in my fingers, so I hope it was all worth it. May they not die. I'll post some pictures soon, but first I need to delete a bunch from my camera. I just don't, ever, so every time I load pictures it takes longer than necessary. Time is of the essence these days.
Adam's at a "neighborhood meeting" conducted by a former city council member, the sole purpose being to take the dogs away from a guy down the street. I am quite glad I couldn't make it (thank you sweet little Lew), but I'm dying to hear what happened. Adam's going to stick up for Steve and say that he needs a chance. I don't think Steve was even invited to this meeting. I have connected the dots and now realize that this woman, the former city council member/possibly former mayor, is the one who called the police on Monty last summer. Yes, Monty was barking ferociously from our front porch (Adam and I were on a walk), but I was mad that this person hadn't even tried to talk to us first. It was the first time we'd let that happen.
I lost my train of thought. It has arrived now, however, at the fact that cookies and ice cream are being served at the meeting. This strikes me as odd, given the circumstances.
I think Lewis is actually asleep. ! When this happens earlier than expected I am struck with a sort of panic, like "What do I do first?" Usually I do nothing, which is delightful.
Thursday already tomorrow. Crazy. Goodnight All.
