So Many Firsts

Besides meeting his great-grandma Val for the first time, Lewis reached for a toy and grasped it and he made a perfect surprise "O" face when I snuck in on him yesterday morning. Two great parts of a wonderful weekend in Grand Forks with Adam's family. It's so nice to be someplace else for awhile....it's amazing how easy it is to relax when there's nothing immediately in front of you to do. At home there's always something that needs to be done, and even if you give yourself permission to relax, of course it's still there. You technically could be doing it, so pure and total relaxation is basically not possible. Thank God for parents' houses :) Both last weekend with my family and this one with Adam's, we got delicious food made for us and other various kindnesses shown. So nice.

Here are a few of my favorite pictures from the last few days:

Here's Lewis with his grandma Connie, daddy and great-grandma Val. Those eyes! We looked at some baby pictures of Adam ----- the same eyes. Adorable!

The Bjerk Boys! Uncle Aaron and Grandpa Mike, Adam and Lewis.

Wow, the four Bjerks really look alike! You should submit that photo to the "generations" section of the paper.

I think he looks like the Bjerks, but I see so much of you too! It's so funny - kiddos go through stages when they look like one parent, then the other.

He's a doll, Laura!!! :)
