I've always loved new starts --- New Year, school years, mornings..... So a brand-new decade is exciting to me. I won't be someone who hides my age, or lies about it, or dreads it. I admit it's strange to be out of my 20s, but..... it's good. Things are good.

What's not good is that Simon & Garfunkle canceled (well, postponed) their concert. I guess Garfunkle has a strained vocal cord or something. So, that was disappointing but probably a blessing in disguise.... the thought of a trip to the Cities with Lewis right now pretty much terrifies me. July will be better. Instead, my mom will be here to babysit and Adam and I have a night. I think we're going bowling, out to dinner, out for some drinks and a live band, and a hotel. With a whirlpool. A good way to celebrate.

Lewis is awake. Need to go. He WILL NOT sleep during the day....fights it like you wouldn't believe. He just fell asleep in my arms so I put him in his carseat, but.....no. No crib, no swing, no our bed, nothing. Then he gets so cranky because he's overly tired. Maybe a walk will help, and at least it's not snowing today.... !
