Surprises

-I forgot to set my alarm Wednesday night and woke up at 5:50-something the next morning. My carpool arrives at 6:15. I made it.

-I made spaghetti last night and it was better than it's ever been. I credit my new cast iron pan.

-Adam's cooking dinner for us right now. I hear fish frying.

-I laughed today when my kids were being naughty. It was at the tail end of a very bad day, and I couldn't believe how crazy they were being, and I just absolutely couldn't help it. I think it lightened the mood.

-I perhaps felt my baby move. Or I have gas. Kind of hard to tell when first movements are described as "gas bubbles". Regardless, I'm beginning to be more aware of the fact that I'm toting this little person around with me to work every day. It's becoming comforting, an odd sort of companionship. I also notice that I stop to breathe more, to try to calm myself --- . I love it.

--My carpool planned a Caribou Coffee day tomorrow, when usually it's pretty haphazard and all but one of us has coffee (mine decaf :), or tea) already if we stop. So it's set. I'm excited.

-And ------------- Adam came running into the kitchen when I got home this afternoon with - a dozen roses!!!! And a chocolate bar. I am blessed.

Happy Friday, All!

Loved your post, Laura. Many things to be thankful for, surely! I think I've felt our little bean moving a bit as well. (Most often I am noticing it at night when I am still.) I can still remember the moment I KNEW without a doubt that I felt Evan move inside me... amazing stuff.

Have a great week.
