Adam and I set the perfect scene for a freakin' SCARY movie. I think I was so affected mostly because it's not that far from reality, it seems. Perfect sci-fi, because you really can see this happening. ----------------------------------------------------------
A rainy weekend. I wanted to ride my bike downtown yesterday, but it was just too wet. ... When I start to "wuss out", though, I should think of my neighbor: he bikes every day to work, no matter what. At least a ten-mile roundtrip. A little rain really isn't too big of a deal. - - You know what is, though?! Wind. I woke up Thursday, the day I was planning to bike to my doctor's appt. (at least five miles from my house), and I said, "Oh. It's just a little wind." Ha. Never underestimate wind....and never overestimate your ability to handle it. Not without A LOT of extra time and maybe some earmuffs. Granted, I am not in shape right now --- but I literally had to WALK my bike at several different points on the way there. The insides of my ears were throbbing in pain, my butt was in pain, and the tops of my thighs, and once I even half-wondered if I would have a heart attack. My blood pressure was WAY the heck up there when I had it checked, too. Usually it's fine, but this time she was concerned...! I asked if the major ass-kicking I'd just received from the wind might have something to do with it. Ah, yes.
But it felt good, all in all. I was glad I'd done it. The way back was much nicer, and it just felt so wonderful to be getting places without a car, in the beautiful fall weather (once the sun was out and the wind had died down a bit). One of my absolute favorite things to do is ride my bike through a big pile of crisp, colorful leaves, or ride through hanging branches with my body, the leaves grazing my head and shoulders. A perfect way to spend a day off.
I hope all is well with all of you!
P.S. The movie is "The Happening"

your post is wishing i had my bile all restored and ready to ride, especially now the weather is cooler and the leaves are looking amazing in the trees.
What's the name of the scary movie?
Solsitice. When you drive your bile, how do you keep your feet dry?
Okay. I'll stop.
