Here's my haircut (the "inverted bob" again), and here's me in front of just a fraction of The Mess that was our room....until I cleaned it yesterday! No kidding - I just kept walking into it afterwards, kind of twirling around. I can hear my voice echo now; it didn't before, I'm sure because there wasn't really any empty space. I count that as my biggest accomplishment yesterday, especially since I last minute decided not to go to RL. I've had this strange headache the past few days (connected to my neck, which is connected to my back, which has been giving me problems for awhile now). I need to go in, but I hate going to the doctor. Anyway, so when I got home (I literally decided at the gas station, so I walked back for exercise) I felt I needed to do something to make up for it. This makes up for it, ten times over. The room has been messy for MONTHS (Natasha, you can attest to this :) I felt calmer all day because of this cleaning session.

Ok. Enough about the room. I managed to get up early this morning with the help of coffee and rosemary oil in my burner (touted as "invigorating"; "brings clarity of thought" --- I like it. Smells kind of like Vicks Vapo Rub, which is definitely invigorating). I love being awake early to see the sky lighten and feel the coolness before it warms. It's only forty degrees this morning! Fall is definitely coming...

Happy Weekend, everyone!

Cute hair! I love the little waves, too. :)

You might need a different pillow. I sometimes have neck problems that go up to a headache and down my back a bit. I have an old contour pillow that helps, but I have to use it for a month or two to get lasting results. I bought an $$ contour pillow, but it is too high under the neck.

Or course, it is a good excuse for a neck and back rub.

I love your hair, Laura! I bet it feels as wonderful as it looks. :) And yay for a clean room! I just finished repacking all my stuff to ship yesterday, and it feels soo good to have everything in a stack of boxes instead of sprawled halfway across the living room. I hope your head is feeling better (I've got one of those headaches right now -- I'm going to try some long-neglected yoga to help the neck/back part)... you tried peppermint tea or oil for it?

Adorable cut! Cute and sassy...
I'm taking some time off next week and will be doing some Simplifying (aka box and deliver things to goodwill). The changing of seasons calls for it...

Good hair!

I know exactly what you mean about feeling calmer after getting your room clean. Sometimes there's nothing I can do that's so satisfying as cleaning something that needs it badly. A couple of weeks ago, I cleaned and washed our Jeep. In it, I found (among other things) seven pens and a fishing regulations guide from 2004. I was in a good mood for a couple of days afterward.

Hey Laurie!

Still remember being confused about mail that came to Maple 369 with that name on it ;)

I love - love - love your hair. It looks so Jazzy, so 1920's - it's awesome...you! :)

We cleaned the garage today - and the vehicle. I have vowed to not allow food in my van anymore. What a mess. Yeah, that rule will last about 20 seconds!!! I love that Fall is in the air. The change of seasons (winter to spring/summer to fall) are always good for my soul. Don't know why, but I just feel --- alive. So - I'm glad you had a good day at home. We all need those once in a while.
