meme (mēm) n. A unit of cultural information, such as a cultural practice or idea, that is transmitted verbally or by repeated action from one mind to another.
I should probably have understood this term before, but I really didn't know its meaning. Cool. It makes sense now.
I have tagged myself for these memes because I think they're interesting. I found them on Suzie's blog, and I'd love if anyone else wants to do one, too!
10-20-30
*10 years ago: I was in my senior year of high school. I was involved in everything, from cheerleading (yeah) to Peer Helpers to drama. I was really happy. Oh, and I was also enlisted in the Navy. My god, I'd honestly almost forgotten about that. But I was only seventeen, so I was able to get out in the spring when I realized it wasn't the right thing for me. I'm grateful for my decision.
*20 years ago: I was living in Warroad, Minnesota. I must have been in first grade. Here's what I remember: a bumper car accident that resulted in a sixth grade girl's broken leg. She gave me the middle finger one day after school and I was terrified of her. Also, I remember hurting myself on the monkey bars on the playground, and I remember dodging cars as I walked to school and then being called down to the office. I remember the fireplace in our cozy little green house, too.
*30 years ago: I don't think my parents had even met yet. So----no. I like to think my soul was up in Heaven and God was starting to prep me for the adventure that life on Earth was going to be... . I should have taken notes.

Q - Quiet sometimes in social situations
R - Red-headed. Though it's getting lighter. Today somebody called it "orange".

Holy cow? The navy! Really? That's so cool. I only say that because my hubby's in the navy Laura. :)
The ABCs was hard, wasn't it?! Some of your responses were such a joy and fun to read. It took me forever to figure out "y".
Thanks for doing this, I'm so glad you did it! It was great to read.
I forgot to also mention that I actually don't take my pictures with a tripod very often, my Sony Cybershot has a very good night setting and with the candles I put it on macro. The trick is taking a deep breath before clicking and then slowly breathing out as you click and hold. It doesn't always work but sometimes it isn't half bad! Thank you so much for your compliment, I really appreciate it Laura.
This is awesome Laura - I think the ABC's one is incredible. I also have forgotten that you had enlisted in the Navy!
Hope you are doing well - and No it, shouldn't be easier just because you are an English major - I often have a hard time thinking about how I define myself - which is why I am going to do that meme on my blog!
Love and Hugs!
how fun ~ i just did the ABC one on my blog and i think i'm going to have to try the 10-20-30 one as well sometime this month :)
