I dug these out of our treasure chest at home when I visited a few weeks ago. Too bad I tried to cut Rainbow Brite's hair and would routinely toss Popple around in her rolled-up ball/pom-pom form, because I probably could have made some money off of them. But... Why would I want to sell them when they're so darn cute and colorful?! I do love color.
Time for me to go to bed, I think. I'm getting loopy.

I love popples! Somewhere I still have 3 of them. Toys from the 80's were so awesome. I have a My Little Pony collection. Matt and Dave can confirm that part of it sits on my desk at home.
Very cool - I had forgotten about Popples. But I did have Rainbow Bright! I also had a ton of Strawberry Shortcake dolls and Little Ponies. Amazing that some of these toys are making a HUGE comeback!
Thanks for the post! It's nice to reminisce.
tee hee ... i love that you tried to cut her hair ~ i used to do that too :) so much great comfy colour :) xox
Cute and crazy! I love it. I'm glad you're keeping them. I finally made a pendant just for me, what a new experience.
I had both of those things when I was little, and loved them so much they're probably among the things I chose to have my mom keep. Your Rainbow Brite is in better shape than mine, though; the shimmery plastic on her skirt started wearing through, and then when my sister was a toddler, she finished the process by pulling off most of what was left of it.
Oh my gosh!! I almost forgot about those dolls! I remember having a popple, and carrying around everywhere I went!
