This is the house I did much of my growing up in -- from the beginning of fifth grade all the way through. I still do more thinking and reflecting on walks up and down this driveway than any other time, I think --- It's always been the easiest place for me to have talks with God. ** I spent some wonderful time with my dad over the weekend, complete with a delicious breakfast he made me, good conversations and the movie
Fracture. I got to spend more time with my mom than I thought, too, since she got home a little early from her flight. As usual, time at home goes way too quickly.

The rest of the pictures are from the surprise party we threw Adam's mom yesterday in Grand Forks. All the credit goes to the Beautiful and Talented Jessica Bjerk (pictured below), who planned everything and invited many people who care about and love Connie. It was a really fun afternoon.

Here are Aaron (Adam's brother) and his girlfriend, Anna. Credit goes to Aaron as well, since he performed impressive trickery to sneak into Connie's phone and copy down as many phone numbers as he could in X amount of seconds.
And here's the Birthday Girl. Can you believe she just turned fifty?!

No, I can't believe it!
What a wonderful world you grew up in, you're very lucky you can go back and visit. When I left home my Dad sold the house within a couple of months!
What a great family you have.
