I've been up running some errands this morning. What a novelty, to be able to go places on a weekday morning, like the post office. I finally mailed a picture to my grandpa that I've had for a couple of months. When I surprised Dad and Grandpa at our cabin over the summer, I took a bunch of photographs of them getting ready to go fishing. I really loved a few of them, so I framed them and gave them as gifts to both Dad and Grandpa. Here's one:
After I get some stuff taken care of in the next hour or two, I'm heading home to spend some time with my dad. My mom is in Florida and comes back tomorrow night, so I'll see her briefly, and my brother works strange hours at his new job so he won't be home. I'm looking forward to some peace and quiet and possibly a chance to get out in the woods hunting. I mainly just walk and enjoy the smells and sights and sounds; I've never actually gotten anything. In fact, I've had birds so close I could touch them and I've still missed -- It's a family joke. Maybe it's my weird eyesight (near-sighted in one eye, far-sighted in the other). Anyway. If the rain lets up, we'll go. If not....Maybe we'll still go. I'm not afraid of some rain.
I hope my other teacher friends are enjoying their break:) To everyone else, Happy Thursday and a happy weekend.
