I'm afraid I have not been very sympathetic to my poor dog in his post-skunk spray pain. Instead, I have been striving for photographic genius. The goal: To capture Montgomery at his most pathetic looking, sopping wet from yet another odor-removing treatment and shivering by the door on a little scrap of carpet.
Success!

(I am not soulless. I do feel bad for him. I also feel bad for our house, which smells quite "noxious" - credit to eHow for that great word.)

Noxious IS a great word! Poor Monty. Have you tried washing him in tomato juice? That's what we always did to our stinky skunky dogs growing up. I can't remember how well it worked, but it must have been effective as I can remember having done it a couple of different times.
Good luck!
