The honeybee has never meant anything to me one way or another, but after finding this article today, suddenly I realize their vast importance. I know this could be another fear tactic, for whatever reason, and hopefully the problem isn't as bad as people are saying. But the thought of not being able to have fruits and vegetables whenever we want (a friend, in fact, just posted about being grateful to have them) is frightening. Let's all send positive vibes out to the honeybee!!

One More Thing I Take For Granted
The honeybee has never meant anything to me one way or another, but after finding this article today, suddenly I realize their vast importance. I know this could be another fear tactic, for whatever reason, and hopefully the problem isn't as bad as people are saying. But the thought of not being able to have fruits and vegetables whenever we want (a friend, in fact, just posted about being grateful to have them) is frightening. Congratulations on the new home and successful move. I'm sure your yard will be full of happy honey bees.
This story has worried me from the beginning and for some reason, felt very far away since I live in rainforest lala land. But! There was an article in our local paper about a bee farmer whose entire bee popular died. Very frightening and all too real. I've been afraid of bees my whole life but I wouldn't wish this on them!

i've always liked bees buzzing around, they are so lovely ...
It is a worrysome story .
With spring just getting started here in the mountains ,there seem to be not as many bees as usual.
